Regeneration

Optelian offers a wide range of regeneration products. These products amplify the signal electrically (O-E-O). This process regenerates, reshapes, and retimes (3R functionality) the input signal as well as provide dispersion compensation. The RGN-3G families will regenerate any rate and format signal within the range of 10Mbps to 2.7Gbps. The RGN-10G family will regenerate any rate and format signal from 9.95Gbps to 11.3Gbps. The RGN-10GXT is tunable across 89 specific ITU grid wavelengths (50Ghz spacing) in the DWDM C-band.

Optelian’s family of RGN regeneration products can extend the reach of an individual channel for data rates from 10Mbps to over 11Gbps. These products can also be used as transponders to convert wavelengths from 850nm and 1310nm to 1550nm. The RGN family is an extremely versatile group of wavelength conversion, regeneration and reach extension devices.
