Optelian Doubles Manufacturing and R&D Operations Space Due to Strong Company and Customer Growth
Ottawa, ON/Marietta, GA - June 15, 2011 - Optelian, a trusted designer and manufacturer of SMART (Scalable, Modular, Affordable, Reliable Transport) optical networks, today announced the Company is moving its design and manufacturing operations to a larger facility to support rapid sales growth of its products and solutions. The new facility located at 1 Brewer Hunt Way, Ottawa ON, is over double its existing space and will support the manufacturing of Optelian’s expanded product lines, LightGAIN and LightMUX.
“We founded the company in Ottawa nine years ago”, said Dave Weymouth, Co-Founder and CEO, Optelian, “and we have remained committed to keeping our manufacturing operations in North America, ensuring superior quality, faster delivery and improved customer service. Our larger facility will enable us to continue to grow and support our customers better.”
Optelian also has plans to hire additional employees in R&D and Manufacturing - all will be employed in the new facility. The Company also recently moved into a new office in Marietta, GA where its sales, marketing and service operations are located.
