LightMUX
LightMUX is a family of top quality yet economical splitter and multiplexer modules. These are entirely standalone; they use no electrical power and are not managed.
LightMUX products are hardened (-40° to +65°C), highly-reliable (MTBF >80 years), and have excellent optical specifications (e.g. adjacent channel isolation of 40 dB) making them ideal for outside plant and customer premise applications. Standard modules for FTTx, DWDM, CWDM, WDM, OADM and splitter applications ship with lead times of just a few weeks.
Industry standard LGX-style modules have high port density with twelve ports available for each unit of width. These can be used in any configuration, for example, two 16-channel CWDM multiplexers can be housed in one 3-wide module or one 8 channel CWDM with 1310 nm overlay wavelength and monitor ports can be packaged in a 1-wide module.
High port density is also one of the benefits of the 1U rack-mount 40-channel DWDM MDX-40 module.
The optical capabilities of LightMUX products are also available packaged in pigtailed modules and splice trays to fit into a wide variety of mounting situations such as OSP cabinets. A compact ruggedized WDM component is also available.
In addition to these standard offerings, custom modules are available through Optelian's Quick Turn program. These modules can be delivered quickly with no additional lead-time or cost by leveraging Optelian's unique North American manufacturing capabilities.
