LightPRO Fiber Optic Light Source & Meter
The all new Optical Test and Measurement test kit is another upgrade option added to the LightPRO fiber cleaning and inspection system tools. The kit contains one power meter and one optical source to help measure optical loss over a fiber, the output of a transmitter, or even power level at various points along a route.
The power source provides either 1310nm or 1550nm test signal. With an output of -8db the source can be used over long single mode spans in order to be used with most projects. The modulated output signal can even be used to test the locking characteristics on some types of optical equipment. This will allow you to “green up” certain equipment to test it without the need for an expensive test set.
The Optical Meter can be switched between 1310nm and 1550nm to cover most of your project needs for loss receive power levels.
