LightPRO Optical Visual Fault Locator
The all new Visual Fault Locator is another complement to the LightGAIN fiber cleaning and inspection system tools. The Visual Fault Locator uses a visible 650nm laser to allow the technician to identify micro-bends, poor splices or as a tracer light for dark fiber.
Operating in continuous mode or pulsing mode the super bright red light will help you find what you are looking for. Using the fault locator on single mode fiber the light can be seen for up to 6 to 7 kilometers and on multimode it can be seen for up to 5 to 6 kilometers.
Available in 2.5mm and 1.25mm options the Visual Fault Locator will work with SC, SC/APC, ST, FC, (2.5mm) or LC, MU (1.25mm) ferrules. With its compact size, about the size of a pen, it can be easily transported a pocket or slipped into any fiber optic tool kit. The Visual Fault Locator is the ideal complement to the LightGAIN CI-1000 connector inspector and Ferrule Mate fiber cleaning kits.
