LightGAIN RGN-348/348-2R WDM Wavelength Converter
The Optelian LightGAIN RGN-312/348/348-2R is data rate and protocol independent optical wavelength converter and multiplexer designed for the Access and Metro markets. The RGN-312 is ideal for traffic up to 1.25Gbps and the RGN-348/348-2R are ideal for data rates up to 2.7Gbps, With the RGN-3xx cards the end user can convert a 4 fiber system to a 2 fiber system.
The any rate, 3R (reshape, regenerate and retime) and the 2R (reshape and regenerate) designs ensure error free operation with data rates from 45Mbps to 2.7Gbps.
An LED digital display with Touch Control Panel facilitates local alarm management.
The RGN-3xx cards are enclosed in a stainless steel case requiring no maintenance and installs easily in the LightGAIN OMS-519 and OMS-219 (Optical Mounting Shelves).
The RGN-312/348/348-2R will support both uni-directional and bi-directional topologies.
